Development Engineer (m/f/d) Soft Robotic Systems – Germany

We aim to advance the soft robotics market and introduce bioinspired qualities for novel soft systems. To realise this vision, we are looking for an development engineer (m/f/d) in the field of Soft Robotic Systems for our branch in Dresden, starting at the next possible date.

Your Tasks:

  • You will develop bio-inspired, novel robot components that are flexible, adaptive and compliant, in close cooperation with our team in New Zealand.
  • You will manufacture and test prototypes and demonstrators and integrate them into complex robotic systems, together with our team of experienced hardware and software developers.
  • You will support the team in the planning of manufacturing processes and the development of concepts for later series production.
  • You analyze the requirements of our target customers and project partners and plan new products and demonstrators based on these requirements as part of our development team.

Your Profile:

  • Are you excited about new technologies and topics related to new/intelligent materials, bionics and robotics.
  • Do you have a University degree in the field of STEM, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, material science or a similar profile.
  • Are you a team player, willing to learn and not afraid to think outside the box.
  • Are you strong in communication and decision-making.
  • Do you also have good German and business fluent English skills.
  • You are open-minded about international travel and participation in trade fairs and conferences.
  • You may already have experience in working with silicones, silicone moulding and 3D printing.
